Our Solar Process

1. Consultation

During your initial consultation, whether that be over the phone or in person at our Huntingfield Showroom and Office, we will discuss our equipment options, what is motivating you to install a solar system and any restrictions relating to both your physical roof aspects and budget.
2. Initial Design & Proposal

Utilising imagery software, we will design a tailored solar system for your home or business, as predetermined in your initial consultation.
This includes an itemised proposal with estimated costings for your reference prior to a site visit.
3. Site Visit

This is the most important step and is what sets Whitney Electrical & Solar apart from other solar companies.
Company owner, Phil Whitney, who is a fully qualified electrician with 15 + years experience installing solar, will attend site to confirm all aspects of your proposal and design to ensure there are no hidden surprises come installation day.

Phil can also answer any solar or other electrical questions that that might have arisen for your home or business.
4. Revised Final Design & Proposal

Based of Phils site visit, we will update any changes and provide you with a final proposal for your consideration.
Our proposals are valid for 30 days and during this time you are welcome to contact us and clarify any aspects or discuss any changes to your requirements.
5. Solar System Installation

Once you have decided to proceed with Whitney Electrical & Solar we will begin all the behind the scene processes to have your solar installation completed as soon as possible. We will take care of everything.
Leading up to your installation, we will be in touch to arrange a suitable date based on your availability and weather.
Average residential installations take 2 days to complete and all our installations are carried out by our fully qualified electricians and apprentices.
6. Support

Once we have installed your solar system, we will run you through the system monitoring functions, who will be in touch in terms of TasNetworks and regulators and brief you on the upkeep of your new solar system.
